Matt Gallant is a trusted golf coach who specializes in optimizing performance for golfers of all levels. Using the Butch Harmon Floridian Team approach, Matt will use all the resources available at Butch Harmon Floridian to help each player reach their full potential. Matt is mentored by Claude Harmon III and Ryan Crysler, as well as relying on Josh Littell to accelerate physical performance through fitness training. Matt also utilizes several Mental Performance Coaches as part of the team process. 

Matt was a former Korn Ferry Tour player and professional caddie before becoming a full time coach. He is able to approach the learning and improvement process from all angles. 

Matt prefers long term commitment to process and progress out of his clients but will coach anyone with a desire to improve.

Most of the time when I’m on the range and I hit a bad shot, the next one is usually really good. I often gain confidence in a bad shot in practice knowing I’ll do well on the next one. This mindset is not the same as I see myself having on the course. On the course a bad shot often times results in a loss of confidence and puts me in a bad mental space. I think working on playing from the same mindset I use in practice can have huge benefits in how I react and perform on the course. I liken it to dropping another ball when practicing on the course, at every level, I usually see this end well. Matt’s Total Game Evaluation provides a road map to achievement and is primarily utilized for your first experience at Butch Harmon Floridian. Matt’s first session studies the player’s whole game, past, present and future goals to determine the best path forward. A perfect session involves observing the player on the course, spending some time on all areas of the game, including fitness and mental, then concluding with a plan of action.

Designed for tournament players or players seeking a significant improvement in their game, the TGE establishes a working team concept using scheduling, blueprinting and input from fitness and medical professionals.
