Director of Instruction at Butch Harmon Floridian, Claude Harmon is in the vanguard of the new generation of golf teachers. Steeped in tradition both his grandfather, Claude Harmon, and father Claude “Butch” Harmon Jr., have been the dominant teachers of their generation. The Harmon family pedigree has been the perfect foundation for Claude to build his knowledge of golf instruction. Claude’s teaching philosophy and methods have delivered lower scores and better, more repeatable swings for seasoned tour players, celebrities, and amateurs of all abilities and is now ranked 5th on Golf Digest's 2024-2025 Best Teachers in America List and a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor.
His past and present students include Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Pat Perez, Marina Alex, Pajaree Anannarukarn, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Kris Ventura, Jimmy Walker, Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Si-Woo Kim, Darren Clarke, Trevor Immelman and Yani Tseng. He is uniquely qualified to apply “new school” teaching concepts in an “old school” fashion. He is a regulator contributor to Sky Sports Golf and hosts the popular Son of a Butch podcast below.
Claude currently offers his performance experience or 90 minutes sessions and is the Head Coach for TeamFLO.

Having achieved the “Coaching Slam” while helping players win 9 majors and 66 professional titles, The Claude Harmon Performance Experience is a day of one-on-you instruction hosted by Claude Harmon III. Spending the day with Claude is normally reserved for the current stable of tour players but now you can reserve time to yourself at Butch Harmon Floridian. The CH3PE includes:
Total Assessment and improvement plan.
Fundamental work on full swing, short game and putting.
Performance drills designed to help you score.
Course management and playing lesson on the Fazio and or Harmon Courses
Plan on four-five hours of instruction for an experience. Don’t worry, we will have a couple breaks in there for lunch, etc.
